Principal’s Message

Our district cornerstone of the month is Teamwork. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your efforts in working with your child’s teacher and the school staff to support the education of our students. Your efforts at home make a huge difference in the success each child. Here are a few more hats you wear as a parent.

 

  1. Supporters of their children’s learning and development;
  2. Encouraging your children can help students create a positive self-image and a “can-do” spirit in children;
  3. Monitors of their children’s time, behavior, and resources;
  4. Model a passion for education and learning;
  5. Advocates/Activists for better learning opportunities for their children and at their schools;
  6. Decision-makers/choosers of educational options for their children, the school, and community;
  7. Collaborators with school staff and members of the community on issues of school improvement.

I would also like take a minute of your time to say thank you for supporting our amazing Veteran’s Day Program. If you didn’t have a chance to attend ask your child about it. This great tradition at our school has become better each year due to many patron’s support of the Supplemental Levy that has been approved by voters. Our music program is paid for through that levy.

Nov. 13 – PTO Family BINGO night 6:00 p.m.

Nov. 15 – Last day of the Trimester

Tips for parents:
PTO– Woodland Hills has a fabulous PTO and is another integral part of our team.  While PTO is a separate entity we appreciate the support they give our teachers, staff, and students.  There are always opportunities to serve on the PTO.   If you would like to be a part of the PTO or receive PTO information please email them at woodlandhillspto@gmail.com or check out their amazing website https://woodlandhillspto.com . It is full of information helpful to all parents at Woodland Hills.
